The staff at Make Use Of have rejected to pay even a single cent to the hacker , brave enough and a good decision . The website is currently parked at Name Cheap and NameCheap isn't going to instantly hand back the domain to us before an investigation sorts out all the facts but to their credit, NameCheap does agree to lock / disable the domain for the moment so Ferank is unable to move the domain again. This gives the GoDaddy legal team time to investigate the whole incident and begin the procedure to recover the domain.
Hope they catch the hacker and get back their site to function again . Wish them luck and stay updated with their blog .

If you look at the Google cache for the home page, however, you’ll find a message redirecting you to a temporary BlogSpot.com account with an explanation.
In a nutshell, the site’s staff says the hacker gained access to the Gmail account tied to their GoDaddy domain registration. He then contacted GoDaddy, they say, pretending to be the owner, and asked for the domain to be transferred. The Make Use Of team believes the entire process took him less than an hour.
