Like every other Tweeter , I am on Twitter to make new friends , keep in touch with my friends , know more about some great people and advertise my blog (... what ? ) . But now , there is a better reason to be on Twitter - Money , yes you saw it right . Now you can earn money via twitter .
The so called " Twitter AD network " - Be A Magpie , sends an AD in the form of a tweet ( from the registered account ) and you get paid for it ! The AD tweets are sent 1 in 5 tweets ( default ) and are topic specific . And the most important thing - you get paid monthly in terms on How many people follow you , its not about how many you follow , so spamming won't help sir :)
So How does it work ?
Here's how it works
1. You define a tweet frequency at which you will accept magpie-tweets for your Twitter account. Given your current tweet rate does permit it, our service will try to find a matching magpie-tweet and twitter it.
2. Magpie-tweets will contain the hashtag (what?) "#magpie" and thus be readily identifiable from your other tweets.

Seems like Magpie might work for celebrities or people who put valuable news or information in their tweets. For ordinary tweeters, this will not be tolerated well.
As you say, Magpie may kill Twitter. Most tweets are boring as it is. This looks like trouble.
However, as a new Twitter user, I had never heard of it. I'm always interested in ways to make money, so I'm glad to know about it. Thanks!
